At Bushor’s Tree Surgeons, we were contacted by a homeowner after a large limb failed on a mature laurel oak. While the initial concern was the fallen limb, an on-site evaluation showed that removing the entire tree would be the safest long-term solution due to its size, structure, and proximity to the property.
Because laurel oaks can carry significant weight and become unpredictable after limb failure, this project required careful planning and crane-assisted removal to ensure the safety of the home and surrounding area.

Our Removal Process
Given the size of the tree and the need for a crane, the job was planned to minimize time on-site while maintaining full control throughout the removal.
The crane allowed us to safely lift and remove large sections of the tree without placing stress on the remaining structure or risking damage to the property. Each section was rigged, cut, and lifted away in a controlled manner, allowing the crew to work efficiently while keeping the area secure.
Despite the complexity of the removal, the entire job was completed in a single day. Once the tree was down, all wood, branches, and debris were removed from the property. The goal was to leave the site clean and undisturbed, as if no major work had taken place.

Before leaving, our crew took the time to look over other trees on the property. We provided the homeowner with practical, straightforward advice on tree condition, potential risks, and maintenance considerations — without pushing unnecessary work.
